Admissions and Enrolment
What are the admission requirements for your online programs?

Most of our courses and certificates don’t have formal admission requirements besides a high school credential (local or international) and intermediate level English requirements. However, to get the most out of our courses an intermediate level of English is highly recommended. Contact an admissions advisor for more information at info@cornerstoneedu.ca 

How do I apply for admission to your college?

Create a profile on our website and fill out the application form. On the application form, you will be prompted to select the program you’re interested in. Following that, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to complete the registration process from an admissions advisor.

Is there an application fee?

We don’t charge application fees.

When are the start dates for your online programs?

You can register and start studying with us any time you like.

Do you offer rolling admissions or set start dates?

Since most our courses are self-paced, we offer rolling admissions and do not have set start dates.

When do I receive my Certificate?

After you complete the course, and successfully pass the final exam, you will be granted a Certificate. Please, contact us if you have any questions.

What online certificate programs do you offer?

Our roster of certificates and micro-credentials is constantly growing. Our mission is to offer credentials that are industry relevant and focus on in-demand skills in Canada and around the world.

How long does it typically take to complete each program?

Our programs have varying time requirements. Please check individual program pages for more information.

Are the online courses self-paced or on a set schedule?

Most of our courses and certificates are self-paced which means that you can study at your own speed and convenience.

What is the typical course load for full-time and part-time students?

Since all our courses are self-paced the level of commitment depends on the student. The student can complete the course by committing full-time or part-time.

Do you offer any specialization tracks within your programs?

Our programs are industry specific and are already specialized. Therefore, don’t have specialization tracks.

Do you have articulation or pathway agreements with colleges or universities?

Currently, we have an articulation agreement with Cornerstone Community College. A fully accredited college in Vancouver, BC.  We are working towards finalizing transfer and articulation agreements with other American and European colleges and universities. Please visit our website for updates.

Online Learning Experience
What online learning platform or learning management system do you use?

Our host LMS is Tutor LMS for all of our programs. Certain partner awards are hosted on our partners’ LMS.

How do online classes work? Are they live, pre-recorded, or a mix?

Most of our programs are either pre-recorded, text based, interactive e-learning or a mix of these methodologies. Students also have access to subject tutors to ask questions.

What kind of support is available for online students?

Cornerstone Canadian Institute’s mission is to deliver affordable high-quality education. Students have access to tutors and can contact their tutors by email to ask questions and clear doubts.

Are there opportunities for interaction with instructors and classmates?

Most of our programs are either pre-recorded, text based, interactive e-learning or a mix of these methodologies. Students also have access to subject tutors to ask questions and clear doubts.

Do you have any in-person requirements or residencies?

No. Our programs are 100% online and don’t require in-person presence or residencies.

Costs and Financial Aid
What are the tuition costs for your online programs?

Are there any additional fees for online students?

There are no additional fees to our courses or certificates.

Do you offer financial aid or payment plans?

Since our tuition cost is already low and affordable, we do not offer financial aid or payment plans at this moment. However, individual course payments are possible and can be made directly through our secure payment system. For more payment options please contact us.

Are there any scholarships available?

Scholarships are available. We suggest you visit each course page to check and sign up for our newsletter for updates.

Career Services and Outcomes
What career services do you provide for online students?

All our graduates receive a tuition free course for Canadian Workplace Integration. This course teaches you how to optimize your resume, cover letter, and project portfolio for the Canadian job market. You also learn how to answer most important interview questions.

Do you offer any career advising resources?

Our graduates are entitled to the Canadian Workplace Integration certification course. This course contains career advising resources.
